The organizers of the planned event are the Regional Centre for International Debates (Regionalny Ośrodek Debaty Międzynarodowej) in Wroclaw and the MUN Association Poland. The event will feature students from Poland and abroad.
"The idea of the simulation is to shape the culture of dialogue and compromise in holding a public debate. By acting as ambassadors of the Member States, the participants debate on the global issues that remain in the competence of the UN", announces Mateusz Natkowski, representative of the organizers. "The purpose of the UN simulation is to enable young people to learn the complexities of international relations, including negotiations between people with different opinions, searching for consensus, as well as determination and patience in asserting their arguments".
The founder of the awards, the study visits to the European Parliament for the two best speakers in Brussels is MEP Bogdan Zdrojewski.
The event is scheduled for April 10-12.
