On Friday 4 December at 5.30 om, CNN International is going to broadcast a programme called "Made in Poland" to showcase success stories in technology, fashion and science. The broadcast is going to feature a report from Wroclaw's EIT+ Research Centre and Saule Technologies in which Olga Malinkieiwcz, one of this year's winners of the 30 Wroclaw Creative Residents ranking, will tell you more about how to produce perovskite photo-voltaic cells. The 33-year-old researcher has designed a technology to manufacture the cells. They facilitate the process of transforming solar energy into electricity. The Polish researcher was presented with the Photonics21 Award from the European Commission, and she was also listed in the New Europe 100 ranking for innovation leaders. She was awarded a 25-million-PLN grant by the National Centre for Research and Development in August 2015. In September 2015 we published the news that Olga Malinkiewicz has signed a contract with a Japanese manufacturer to develop her research on photovoltaic cells. The value of the contract is 20 million PLN.
Polish innovation on CNN
CNN International informs that the materials included in the programme focus on organisations and people that embody the spirit of Polish innovation, which has been developing rapidly over the last 25 years after the fall of Communism.

Apart from reports on particular companies that are making their presence felt both in Poland and on the international arena, the programme will also bring interviews with their representatives. The topics to be included in "Made in Poland" are:
- the development of the Polish video games industry, who position is best show by this year's global success of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt". CNN is visiting the Warsaw headquarters of CD Projekt to speak with Jakub Szamałek, who is one of the authors of the game's script.
- the development of technology companies in Kraków. CNN is meeting serveral start-up representatives (e.g. Estimote and Codewise), who are successfully running their operations from the very heart of Poland's historic capital.
- the reawakening in Polish fashion. CNN is attending the Fashion Week in Łódź to speak with Viola Śpiechowicz about the latest trends in fashion. The camera crew are also visiting Warsaw to speak to the owners of Local Heroes, the brand endorsed by Cara Delavigne or Justin Bieber.
- the story of INGLOT Cosmetics, the company set up 30 years ago in Przemyśl and today's leading colour cosmetics throughout the world.
- new graphene manufacturing technology: The Institute of Electronic Materials Technology and Seco-Wawreick will present a prototype of a machine that facilitates the process of industrial graphene manufacturing. Włodzimierz Strupiński, PhD. will tell a little more about how ground breaking this solution can be.
